Who teaches this course? The course is taught by experts in this that have real word experience and the credentials to prove it. All of these instructors are medical professionals who use this knowledge on a daily basis. Instructors for our medical courses are all trained and certified by the N.YS Department of Health as practitioners and instructors, and possess first hand street knowledge as emergency medical responders for the largest emergency medical response departments in the world.
Course Description: This class is 3 hours long and it includes identifying life-threatening wounds, methods to stop serious bleeding, identifying and treating for shock, and Bloodborne Pathogens (certificate card issued.) If you are a shooter, an outdoorsman or just want to be prepared, this class is a must!
Topics covered to include:
- Types of bleeding.
- How to identify life-threatening wounds.
- Identifying and treating for Shock
- How to use QuikClot, tourniquets, and direct pressure.
- Bloodborne Pathogens.
- What information you need to tell First Responders.
- Please wear comfortable clothing.
